TAKE A REST AS YOU LIKE – ON THE FARM BY THE LAKE
Here we have some ideas for you how to spend time on a lake farm:
- in a hammock under old trees reading a book from our library
- in the shade of a garden arbour with a cup of coffee
- having barbecue with your family and friends
- spending evenings by the firebone near the lake
- carefree swimming in the lake
- having rest on the blanket under eight-limbed lime tree
- swimming a boat, kayak or pedal boat and watching the island full of cormorants
- watching sunrises and sunsets from the shore of the lake
- playing billard, draft, board games, table tennis or table football with loved ones
- the youngest ones can build castles in a sandpit, play on the playground or in a children’s corner. They can also jump on a trampoline or swim in the lake. Older children can jump into the lake using a rope.
We have also sport activities for you:
- distant walking or bicycle tours – there are many landscape attractions and historical tourist trails in the area
- swimming kayak on Drawa, Korytnica, Cieszynka, Piława and Bukówka rivers. It’s 340 km of trails in total. There is picturesque kayak trail (Cieszynka) through Załom lake that is 22 km long (rafting organiser: Natur Sport, mob. +48 608 085 039)
- swimming, running and nordic walking
- pedal boat swimming together with family
- great adventure for the whole family in rope park in Rudnica, one of the biggest park in Poland (in a distance of 7 km from Wałcz)
- in Wałcz there is Sport Centre, where you can use boxing gym, traditional gym, indoor swimming pool and tennis courts. It is the main Sport Centre for polish sportsmen training olympic disciplines (www.walcz.cos.pl).
If you prefer leisure, you can choose:
- walking or bike riding in Drawa National Park (black lake, Kamienna hydroelectric power station, historical cemeteries, river cascades on Węgornia, bunkers and postglacial landscape)
- visiting farmhouse with bisons – Wild Farmhouse in Jabłonowo or watching herd of wild bisons living in Mirosławiec community area
- climbing to magnetic hill (also called magical) – this unusual hill is situated near Wałcz, between Strączno and Rutwica villages – things happening on this hill are against any rules of physics. Cars go up out of gear and going down you have an impression of climbing. If you put some object, for example bottle, on the top of the hill it will go up instead of going down…
- Raduń lake cruise by touristic boat
- visiting museum of Woldenberczycy in Dobiegniew. There are original keepsakes from german concertration camp, www.muzeum.dobiegniew.pl
- visiting places from the past: old hermitage, Pomeranian embankment (Wisielcza mountain), remains of borough form the 10th century near Człopa
- fishing (summer and winter) – in our lakes you can meet roaches, basses, eels, carps, trouts and crayfish
- mushroom picking – you should take a big basket because of plenty of boleteses and chanterelles.
- picking forest fruit, like blueberries, blackberries and wild strawberries
- horse riding (a stable is situated in a distant of 200 m)
- taking photos of nature – it is an ideal place for photo shoot – almost 130 species of birds and several dozen species of mammals, lots of streams, pristine forests, rare species of plants, peats and charming lakes
- trips around with the guide – walking, riding a bike or kayaking. You can meet here with family, friends and workmates.
If you are looking for a place for meeting with your family, friends or workmates we offer you renting the whole building. In the cellar of the building there is fully equipped kitchen, so you can prepare meals yourselves.
There is also possibility of ordering everyday catering. In the cellar there are TV room, library, billiard and dart.
Winter on the farm.
You can rest on our farm all year round. We have great conditions for winter sports here, for example, cross-country skiing or fishing under ice and for children we have different kinds of sledges. Winter landscape is really amazing here.
